Maldon Sharks Swim Sessions

We are pleased to announce that we are returning to training from the 12th April 2021 - squad sessions can be found below.

Maldon Sharks is a friendly, successful, competitive club with members ranging from 8 to 18 years old.

The club is divided into squads of swimmers of similar ability. Training sessions are determined by squad and are held at Blackwater Leisure Centre, Maldon and William De Ferrers Leisure Centre, South Woodham Ferrers.

We are proud and delighted to be back in a position to welcome new swimmers to the club thanks to the safety standards set out by our pool providers and our team during the current Covid situation.

If you can swim 250 metres and are interested in a free trial please contact us by emailing memberships.

Please note:

For any queries regarding  COVID-19 please contact our COVID-19 coordinator.

Please see below for a summary of sessions for all squads:

There have had to be changes to the times as a result of the new COVID-19 procedures.

Summary of new procedure for SWF:

  • Entry via fire exits at rear of pool.  No late arrivals.
  • Swimmers need to arrive wearing swimwear so ready to swim
  • Swimmers/parents to queue adhering to current guidelines of 2m or 1m+(mask)
  • Called into the pool and directed to lane (2 deep and 2 at shallow end).
  • Swimmers to leave towel/onesie at allocated spot
  • Take equipment out of kit bag and place at end of lane then return to allocated spot
  • Enter water when directed by the coach
  • Exit will be staggered and managed by coach/covid volunteers

Please ensure you are at the pool to collect your swimmer as they will need to exit the pool quickly to give staff time to clean down.

We are operating a temporary timetable due to Covid (Please note these session times may change)
